Hi friend,
This week we had 3 goals for the conference:
Add Ruby startups: contact, confirm and add to the website. They are live and they are amazing! Still adding a few, but mostly they are here. Each startup is building with Ruby (most are on Rails), growing, changing the world. They will do 10-minute product demos at the conference to inspire us, and to connect! Check them out.
Build and publish the schedule: contact, confirm and add to the website–talk titles, details, the whole schedule. We are going pretty big: 2 days and 3 tracks: one track is for workshops. This is still work in progress (and I’m sure we’ll have to fix and move things around a lot). Some titles and details are not confirmed yet. But, you know, let’s build in public! Check out the schedule (remember: it’s work in progress). We’ll need to sign up for workshops, as they have limited capacity. You can already do so! Grab a ticket to the conference and then sign up for a workshop you want (we have four: Active Agent, Inertia Rails, Kasper’s workshop and Noel Rappin’s workshop) using links on the schedule page.
Post an update to Substack. Well, looks like this is coming together as well.
Huge shoutout to our sponsors!
Pickaxe ⛏️: Chime, Bolt.new 🔥
Ruby: Gusto, Temporal, Avo ❤️
Emerald: Scout Monitoring, typesense, Cedarcode, Planet Argon, Cactus 💚
Thank you for reading and sharing about the conference. San Francisco Ruby Conference a new event, still a dream more than reality yet, and taking it off the ground is only possible if we do this together!
If you can get a ticket to the conference today, this is the best support 💙 And this will also guarantee you a place at the workshops you don’t want to miss!
P.S. Our venue is based in the beautiful part of San Francisco: it is safe, dreamy, and we’ll be taking walks in marina enjoying views of the Golden Gate bridge. Here’a what it looks like:
P.P.S. Just don’t book accommodation inside Tenderloin and SOMA. Take a look at our guide.
Talk soon 💙
See you at our meetup at Github on Tuesday! I’ll give a talk too.
