Friends,
Time's almost up. The CFP for the San Francisco Ruby Conference closes this Sunday at midnight Pacific timeβand we want you to be part of it.
We've already received 68 proposals (and counting). Thank you to everyone!
What we're looking for
Our mission is simple: support ambitious startups building with Ruby and Rails for years to come. We're seeking talks in two main themes:
New Open Source & Tooling: Show us the tools and libraries powering the next wave of ambitious companies.
Ruby at Scale: Real stories, real lessons, real scarsβscaling Ruby and Rails apps, architectures, and teams.
Submit at cfp.sfruby.com before Sunday's deadline.
Still on the fence?
Fresh off the energy of RailsConf, I've been in dozens of conversations with folks who keep asking: "But what should I actually submit?"
If that's you, take another look at those topics above. And here are some extra thoughts.
We're gathering as learners, not purists. Serverful vs. Serverlessβlet's talk trade-offs without the religious wars. Extracting high-performance services from Rubyβtell us why, when, and how you made that call. Realtime, collaborative, or other advanced UX you built in Ruby or Rails appsβbring them on! Industry-specific storiesβwe want to hear about the specific problems and solutions you've encountered in fintech, healthcare, edtech, e-commerce, developer tools, and beyond.
The lineup so far
Let me share a bit of whatβs already locked in: Carmine Paolino on RubyLLM and async Ruby. Marco Roth with his vision for new frontend tooling for Rails. Jeremy Evans on the thin CLIent approach. Rachael Wright-Munn gamifying developer experience. Mike Perham sharing lessons from trailblazing the open core business model. Takashi Kokubun with news about ZJIT.
We've got an Inertia Rails workshop from the maintainersβBrandon Shar, Brian Knoles, and Svyatoslav Kryukov. Plus, the special CTO panel featuring Edward Kim, co-founder and CTO of Gusto.
San Francisco Ruby Conference is where brilliant Rubyists, startup founders, and CTOs gather to share what they've learned in the trenches and get inspired on what to build next.
